Kathryn McCarron talks fall 2014 line at New York Fashion Coterie

Daniel Quintanilla

Kathryn McCarron spent a little time with this examiner at ENK Coterie in New York, NY Monday, February 24 breaking down the basics of her fall 2014 collection.

Kathryn lays it out that she only does knitwear utilizing in high end luxury yarns imported from Italy, lots of cotton cashmere, and other interesting yarns making for a kind of knit no one else is doing right now.

Kathryn too says the inspiration behind fall 2014 comes from motorcycle gangs being obvious in Kathryn's bomber jackets where bikers tend to have something on their back like a flag and such.

A majority of Kathryn's collection includes a plentiful selection of sweaters, pullovers, turtlenecks, and cardigans having very unique design like v-neck, ripple detail, striped texture, and oversized options.

Kathryn also offers up scarfs and pants which Kathryn calls luxe neck cozy colored in gray, plus drop crotch drawstring pants & double jacquard drop crotch pants colored in shown colorway or white with black & black with white.

The knitwear Kathryn McCarron creates is intended to be an easy & sexy tomboy look simplified in black, gray, and white while graciously being shown off by on-site model, Alexis Hutt.

While a general clothing line has so many options but may have a lack of focus, Kathryn McCarron tells it like it is with a knit collection focused on bringing out the tomboy without losing that feminine appeal.
