Deputies with the Oxford County Sheriff's Office are searching for a missing woman. Kathleen Zurzolo was reported missing by her husband at around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, according to this report. The missing woman's husband claims that she disappeared from their home while he was gone, and that he reported her missing when he returned home to find her gone. Police note that there are no signs of foul play and there are no known health issues that would attribute to a random disappearance.
Oxford County Sheriff Wayne Gallant said the following:
"We hope if she did get a ride or was walking or hitchhiking someone passing by might help us track her down."
His words indicate that she did not take a vehicle with her, so it's as if she simply walked right out of the home and vanished. Even though officials declare that there were no signs of foul play in the home, they have not acknowledged whether or not it appears that anyone other than the missing woman were in the home at the time of her disappearance.
It should be noted that Woodstock is a rural area, so if Kathleen wandered out of the home and ventured into the woods, she could really be anywhere. The same can be said if someone lured her out of the home and into the woods or off of the property. Officials have noted that there are no known problems in the family for her to vanish like this, so it just seems like a mystery all the way around.
