Katheryn L. Carmean, 35, was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old boy “40 times”, according to the Huffington Post.
This teacher’s assistant was able to sexually violate the child because he was friends with her son, and the rape occurred during a “10-month period.”
Carmean “was arrested in Seaford, Del. on Wednesday and charged with ten counts of third-degree rape, continuous sexual abuse of a child and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a press release from the Delaware State Police.”
This teacher’s aide was arrested at Seaford Middle School where she works as a teacher’s assistant for children with disabilities. Now she has been suspended from her position.
Delaware State Police uncovered this crime after the alleged victim explained to his family about the relationship. The boy even told police he would sleep at the teacher’s house occasionally.
Carmean is currently “being held on a $57,000 secured bond,” said the Huffington Post.
