If this were a football game and statistics were being kept, the tabloids would be 0-for-2 this week as it appears Katherine Webb is neither engaged to AJ McCarron nor is she posing naked for Playboy.
The first rumor started when business magnate Martha Stewart tweeted a photo of the famed couple during a gala dinner Saturday night (Feb. 2) with the headline: "Oh my. Tout le monde est ici! A J mc Carron and fiance katherine webb posed for a photo. Emeril in attendance."
On Monday, representatives for the former Miss Alabama dismissed Stewart's tweet, telling E! News it was merely a blunder.
However, Webb is on the record for making some very interesting comments recently regarding her future with the Bama signal-caller.
"When you find yourself with someone that you really can see yourself with, like, you know it," she recently told Ryan Seacrest. "I knew in the first two weeks that we were going to be together for a long time. Love kind of takes over and you start talking about the future… so yeah."
As for the second rumor – the one about her posing nude for Playboy – that must have either come straight out of Brent Musburger’s book of fantasies, or must have been started by, you guessed it: TMZ.
On Monday as Webb arrived at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport), she was greeted by a curious photographer who decided to pose the "Million Dollar Question."
"No," she said with a huge smile. "Hello, my parents would shoot me. My granddad more important!"
Needless to say that after becoming a household name during the 2013 BCS National Championship Game, Webb has capitalized on her meteoric rise to fame.
She served as a Super Bowl correspondent for Inside Edition and recently joined the cast of ABC's celebrity diving competition Splash, which debuts March 19th.
It comes as no surprise that Webb is also expected to become one of the participants in the next season of "Dancing with the Stars."
As far as McCarron is concerned, the Alabama senior will either return to try and complete a three-peat next season, or will declare himself eligible for the 2013 NFL Draft.
