Katherine Webb became a household name overnight on Monday after the announcers fawned over her during the BCS National Championship game.
While the game pitted Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide against Brian Kelly’s Fighting Irish, the real story become the overly long camera shot of Katherine Webb’s face, as well as the announcers who went gaga over her physical appearance.
“WOW,” said Brent Musburger.
"When you're a quarterback at Alabama ... you see that LOVELY lady there ... she's also Miss Alabama .. and that's A.J. McCarron's girlfriend,” continued Musburger, referring to the Alabama quarterback’s significant other.
“Wow, I'm telling, you quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women … So if you're a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throwing it around the backyard with pops,” he added.
After her TV “moment,” Katherine Webb instantly became a trending topic on Twitter. Many male viewers were drooling over her looks, with a lot of female Twitter users upset that Musburger objected McCarron’s girlfriend.
