It was a horrible shock for the family and fans of Michael Jackson when Paris Jackson attempted suicide at 15 years old. Now, for the first time, grandmother Katherine Jackson, has made some comments about her recovery. Hello! Magazine reported on Aug. 27, 2913,
that 83 year old Katherine has said, Paris is in a good place and getting the help she needs. Paris was rushed to hospital from the family home in Los Angeles after cutting her wrists and swallowing a large amount of over-the-counter painkiller, Motrin, in June.
At this time Paris is being treated in a secluded residential facility that specializes in depression and grief management for troubled kids. Katherine has said, "She is doing much better." Katherine went to share that the night Michael died Paris was crying and said, "I want to go and see daddy; I don't want to be without him.'" Michael died suddenly in his bed on June 25, 2009 due to an overdose of the surgical anaesthetic propofol. He would have been just 55 years old this Thursday.
Sky News has reported Katherine has also commented about Paris, "She's my baby. It's hard for me, really hard." She also said she thinks about Michael everyday, whom she feels was a really good father and son. Clearly, losing Michael so early in life has been a tragic experience for Paris and so many other people. Hopefully, when she is fully recovered she will consider that Michael would certainly have wanted his charming daughter to enjoy a long and happy life. Michael, with his brilliant entertainment, had a way of bringing out intense feelings in a lot of people, and one feeling he often shared was a zest for life.
