Kate Winslet, who recently launched an anti-plastic surgery movement with fellow British actresses Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz, is a sizzling femme fatale on the November 2011 cover of UK Harper's Bazaar.
Winslet, who once topped the scales at 200 pounds and railed against aggressive magazine airbrushing, looks 15-20 pounds thinner in the Bazaar photospread, which shows the size-8 Kate with a tiny waist and slender hips.
Airbrushing Encourages Poor Body-Image
Kate, who has been praised for embracing her curvy body, previously slammed the over-the-top digital editing done in movies and fashion magazines, saying the doctored images encourage an unrealistic body image.
"The retouching [done in magazines] is excessive," said Kate, who was heavily airbrushed for a 2003 GQ cover that made her look at least 20 pounds thinner.
"I do not look like that, and more importantly I don't desire to look like that."
Running & Pilates
Now fitter and healthier than ever at 35, Kate is lean and toned, thanks to portion control and regular exercise.
The British beauty, who doesn't have a personal trainer, works out to exercise videos at home.
"I just do my own stuff at home with the help of DVDs. A little bit of Pilates," she says. "And just recently I started running, but I’m not very good."
She adds: "I have cellulite, I don't go to the gym because I don't have time but I do Pilates work out DVDs for 20 minutes or more everyday at home."
