Kate Upton of "Sports Illustrated" 2013 has some words of wisdom for females, reports Yahoo! Shine on March 3. "My advice to other people would be, you know, just be normal. Don't try to be someone else because when you're fake it just never works out." Kate appreciates being a role model, but says she wasn't trying to be.
The model says finding clothes is a challenge for curvy women and says she prefers a certain bikini for her body type. "I prefer string bikinis. It just seems like it fits better. I think that going a little bit smaller is better because it offers you more support."
The beautiful 20-year-old model braved frigid temperatures to shoot in Antarctica for the 2013 "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue." "No other fashion magazine has ever been there," said Kate, who has appeared on the cover two years in a row.
Kate says to achieve a bikini ready body, she works out and eats healthy. "It's very difficult because you want to have those splurge weeks and just go crazy."
Upton has had to endure scathing comments from others in the past due to her curvy figure. Some have called the model fat. In response to criticism about her weight by the pro-skinny site Skinny Gossip,"I’m not going to starve just to be thin. I want to enjoy life, and I can’t if I’m not eating and miserable."
Do you appreciate that Kate Upton of "Sports Illustrated" 2013 is not typical model skinny, or do you think she's fat?
