Kate Upton showcases bombshell curves at Sports Illustrated event

Kate Upton, the 2013 "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit cover girl, put her curves on display at New York's Crimson nightclub on Feb. 12 to celebrate the new SI Swimsuit issue.

The leggy 5-foot-10 Upton wore a strapless maroon Lanvin dress that accentuated her lean, long limbs. Kate, 20, has made the iconic SI Swimsuit cover two years in a row, thanks to her bombshell good looks.

Upton, who has bucked the trend by not being stick-thin, diets and works out but doesn't deprive herself or exercise obsessively. "It's really important to stay slim for the [modeling] industry, but you still want to have a body," Upton told The Daily.

The buxom bleached blonde, a five-time equestrian champion, kickboxes, strength-trains and does Pilates to maintain her toned bikini body.

"Everyone thinks modeling is so easy, but it's 10 to 12 hour days, plus you have to work out on top of it," she said. Upton doesn't deprive herself of her favorite foods (such as ice cream and french fries), but makes sure not to overeat.

“I never deprive myself. If I’m craving something once a week, then I’ll go have it,” she said. “Ice cream or whatever, I just eat the foods I like."

While Kate has been criticized for looking like a tacky bimbo and has been called a "lardy, fat pig," she says she'll never starve herself to fit someone else's idea of sexy.

“I’m not going to starve just to be thin," said Upton. “I want to enjoy life and I can’t if I’m not eating and miserable.”
