On Tuesday, March 19, a web stir arose after a Los Angeles high school senior uploaded a video asking Kate Upton to be his prom date on May 23. The determined young man tried to persuade Ms. Upton of why she should be his date with lines such, “I’m Jewish, 5’9” on a really good day and I can’t dance at all. You’re Christian, 5’10” and that ‘Cat Daddy’ video should’ve won an Oscar for Best Short Film. You could say this is destiny,” said Davidson. On Tuesday, March 19, Upton responded to her high school admirer, via Twitter
@Kateupton tweeted, @JakeDavidson23: http://t.co/4PjGLDd6i9” you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule ;)
Though Kate Upton is likely the dream prom date of countless prom-age men, Davidson has been the only known one to actually fight for that dream. Davidson humorously tries to impress the blonde beauty with push-ups, and their supposable common interests.
Critics may laugh about Davidson’s viral video all day long, but one fact remains: Through Upton's eyes, he was courageous, and he took a chance. Her heart was obviously touched by his invitation. Not only did he do something incredibly gutsy, but Upton has responded to his attempt.....with a positive response. It is probable that if Davidson isn’t yet the popular man of the school, he just may be after this incident.
Do you think Kate will dance the night away with Jake? Do you think this will cause a new fad of high schoolers asking celebrities to prom through You Tube?
