Kate Upton named Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl for second year

Kate Upton has been revealed as the Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue cover girl for the second year in a row, as reported by US Weekly. This cover marks Upton's third appearance in the magazine, having had an inset photo in 2011.

The cover reveal was leaked online Friday, a few days before what was supposed to be the official unveiling on The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday night.

In the leaked picture, Upton poses for Sports Illustrated's 50th anniversary swimsuit issue wearing nothing but a furry parka and white bikini bottoms. Sports Illustrated took the photo shoot down to Antarctica for what they're calling its "Polar Bare" theme.

"We can finally talk about Antarctica!!!!!...Took us 2 months to thaw out," Upton tweeted after the reveal.

The young model joins a list of elite models who've been on the cover multiple years in a row: Christie Brinkley, Elle MacPherson, Paulina Porizkova and Tyra Banks.
