Kate Upton has her very own look-alike. A 22-year-old Russian woman named Ania has been taking the Internet by storm. The New York Mag reported on March 5 that she took a photo of herself imitating Kate Upton's iconic Sports Illustrated cover. After Upton retweeted the photo, it went viral overnight.
Upton called the photo "amazing." The bikini model couldn't wait to share the photo with her fans. Ania didn't think she would catch Upton's attention.
Some speculated that Kate's doppelganger is a mail-order bride. That is not the case, says the New York Mag. Ania called herself a "mail order bride in training" on her Twitter profile. Clearly, the young woman is kidding.
Ania said that the phrase "mail order bride in training" was a "total joke." She said that she's been getting a lot of marriage proposals on Twitter, which is why she had to set her profile to private.
The Russian women was scared off by the sudden attention. She thought that no one outside of her group of friends would see it. The young woman gained a ton of followers on the social networking website.
The Kate Upton look-alike admitted she wanted to take the picture. Ania said that she gets told that she looks like the Sports Illustrated model. She didn't realize how much attention the sexy picture would get her.
