Kate Upton appears to have been dissed by Carol Alt in a recent interview. By now, everyone knows that Kate Upton has basically become the face of Sports Illustrated at just 21. According to a report from E Online on Thursday (Feb. 27), Alt had some choice comments about the model that has taken the world by storm in recent years. Her comments are receiving a lot of press and might just make her relevant in the world of celebrities for a little bit longer.
Alt stated, "What I don't understand with Kate is, what's all the hullabaloo? I think what it is, is that in this moment there's just so much social media and that's why she's had more word of mouth than anybody." She added a statement later in her interview as though she was trying to diffuse what she had just said. She stated, "I like Kate. She's a pretty girl." Whether she meant to or not, it has become a huge story now, especially since she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated before more of the current models were born.
Carol Alt was on the cover of the 1982 Spots Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and appeared on the front of many more magazines after that. Kate Upton photos have been appearing on just about every celebrity, sports, and pop culture magazine in the past few years and it certainly could have rubbed some other celebrities the wrong way. What fans of the 21-year-old model will want to hear is how she responds to the comments from the veteran model now.
