Kate Upton has fans looking very closely at the special anniversary issue of Vanity Fair. The popular model is the cover girl for the 100th anniversary of the magazine on Tuesday. It only seems fair that the celebrity is posing on the latest issue set to hit the newsstand in a Marilyn Monroe channeled look and holding a birthday cake.
“Happy birthday @VanityFair!!! #100thanniversary #annieleibovitz,” tweeted Kate Upton from her official Twitter account. The entertainer posted a picture of the cover and it was obvious that her sexy tone seen on the cover reflected a glimpse of poses by Marilyn Monroe.
Vanity Fair was first started by Condé Montrose Nast. Named originally, Dress and Vanity Fair, the magazine started in 1913 with only four issues published the first year. With a strong following, the magazine hit financial difficulties during the Great Depression and merged with Vogue Magazine soon after. Vanity Fair was revived years later and started to publish again in 1983. Known for extraordinary photography and well written stories, the magazine is very popular today. With Kate Upton on the cover, everyone knows it is really going to be popular for the 100th anniversary issue too.
