Although Jon Gosselin may not show up for a single segment of "Kate Plus 8", he is still pulling in a paycheck for his services. Why? He is still under contract with TLC, so the network is effectively paying him to keep him away.
A source elaborated to PopEater with the following information:
"The reason you don't see Jon looking for a job or doing embarrassing interviews is that he is still on the TLC payroll ... Jon is basically getting paid to keep his mouth shut and go away. Although it must sting him to know his kids are earning more money than he is."
So how much more are Kate and the kids earning? The source reports that the figure is around $700,000, and that $200,000 of that is going directly to the children for their participation.
So what's the message here? If you want the Gosselins on TV, be prepared to pay a hefty price.

Kate is definetely NOT worth it!
kate needs to spend that money on psycotherapy for mattie as she is too old to have those temper tantrums. some of the little kids need speech therapy. i actually feel sorry for kate as when those kids are teenagers she is going to have her hands full. she should save her money and send them to boarding school
I think Kate and the kids are worth the pay check. As for Jon, if he is going to be making money from Kate and the kids' work, he should at least be a butler or trash man, huh?
I have to agree with Joy the kids and Kate are worth it.
The shows will not make it once they get going. Everyone is sick of this horrible mom and horrible person in general. Forget the gosselin children-who cares anymore. They are just a paycheck for mom and the state don't care so whatever. Let Jon use them also. They are all so much a joke. They will all need mental help one day. Kate is a mental case it seems anyway. Could care less about any of them. Just one big joke and love laughing at their train wreck because they like it that way, or seems Kate does anyway. SO be it. The kids will figure out one day that they was just a paycheck for mommie dearest. Jon wanted them off tv but was forced to sign to get them back on tv in order to be able to just live. Don't blame him at all. Just hope Jon gets in on the money action just like Kate is. It is only fair. Heck, I hope Jon get a show with them on it now. I would watch that. At least he is not a bitch like the prison warden Kate Gosselin. Can't stand her lies anymore.

I think Jon and Kate are a great reflection on the state of our country right now. Dumb, aggressive, more me-generation than ever - let them disintegrate before our eyes . . .

I am sick of this show. Please take it off the air! It's not the "Kate Plus 8" show; it's the "Kate Show." She is such a spoiled brat. It used to be good when the kids were little and cute, but now that it's all about about Kate, I won't watch it. She needs a reality check.
