I don’t know about you, but I’ve been a big fan of Kate Moss’ collections for Topshop, and based on the sell-out of all her items – I haven’t been the only one fancying her clothes and accessories.
The new collection by Kate Moss – the Autumn-Winter 2010 (AW10) starts November 2nd and due to the launch, the Topshop published a video showcasing the collection. The video shows how the top model styles the it-girls of the London scene – Adwoa Aboah, Cara Delevingne, Rosalyn Holman, Jessica Horton and Genevieve Garner. The fashionably aware ladies play dress up in Moss's latest designs.
This preview video of Kate Moss' final collection for Topshop was posted on the UK fast fashion retailer's Facebook wall on October 25. The video not only shows the clothes, but how much fun the 'It' girls are having with the model-turn-designer Kate Moss - sipping champagne and munching on cupcakes.
Moss's 14th collection for the high street store definitely reflects her own personal style: there are plenty of vintage-inspired dresses, bohemian floral prints, sequined pieces and tweed capes.
If you don’t know what defines the it-girls in UK, you’d be surprised to know that the ‘It’ girls have been around since the start of the 20th century. The first examples of the It-girls were - Mae West and Edie Sedgewick. Today London 'It' girls (frequently seen on the party scene) include Alice Dellal, Alexa Chung, Pixie & Peaches Geldof and Daisy Lowe. These 'It' girls have “tickets” to pretty much every worthwhile event and scene in London. They are fashionable, independent, headstrong, likable characters constantly in the media and they are very well connected. Not to mention that many of them have famous parents.
And Topshop is one of the places where they shop and Kate Moss shows how to adapt their charm and style to your everyday life.
Even though the video from the new collection by Kate Moss does not show the details of the clothes, one thing can be seen very well, the collection offers items with colorful prints, a lot of black color, animal print, fringes and lines.
You can also see the "7 Days of Kate" - see what Kate wears each day in the run up to the launch of her AW10 collection on Tuesday November 2nd.
So, next time you go to London, with the help of the British top model Kate Moss and the 'It' girls, you'd fit right in. (I've been actually holding myself back from telling the world about this collection, because now I'll be competiting with all of you in getting my hands on at least one item of the collection...But it feels good to share)
I'd love to hear back from you on what you think about Kate Moss' Topshop collections!
