Kate Middleton update: Taken to hospital while visiting parents

Kate Middleton had her handsome Prince by her side in the hospital most of the day yesterday and William arrived there again early on Tuesday. Kate’s condition is rare, but it is not dangerous, reports “Fox and Friends” live on Tuesday, Dec. 04, 2012.

The news of Kate expecting twins seems to have picked up steam today as her diagnosis of hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, occurs more often in pregnant women expecting twins, according to an updated report in the New York Daily News on Tuesday. Kate has not passed her twelfth week of pregnancy yet, which is what the palace was originally waiting for before announcing the pregnancy.

Tom Paramount, “Fox and Friends” correspondent, who is stationed in front of the hospital where Kate is staying, reports that since Kate was admitted to the hospital with the GB diagnosis, the palace felt they had no choice but to announce Kate’s pregnancy sooner. The media would be sure to find out she’s in the hospital and the rumors would fly without an official explanation.

“A worried-looking William" left the hospital on Monday without saying a word to the media, reports the Daily News. He hopped into a car waiting and ignored the crowd of media camped outside the hospital. Even though Kate is not in danger, it is only natural for William to be worried about the love of his life and his best friend.

Kate and William were visiting with her parents over the weekend in Berkshire when she started throwing-up to the point that she could not hold anything down. William’s concern for Kate prompted him to get her to the hospital. He took his wife to the hospital by car, so they wouldn’t attract too much attention.

“Fox and Friends” said the condition only strikes 2% of pregnant women and is more common in pregnant women who are carrying twins and it is also more common when the baby is a girl. The royal family has this covered after “the ancient rules of succession were changed last year to allow the firstborn royal child – girl or boy – to ascend to the throne,” according to the Daily News.

William and the Middleton’s were the only ones to know about Kate’s hospital admittance until later in the day on Monday, shortly before the public announcement from the palace of Kate's pregnancy and hospitalization. William had just told his father and the Queen shortly before the announcement hit the media. Prince Harry was informed by email.
