The Duchess of Cambridge will make her first solo appearance, since giving birth to Prince George, on October 18. Clarence House confirmed today (Friday) Kate Middleton, Patron for SportsAid, will attend a SportsAid Athlete Workshop at the Copper Box.
Her Royal Highness will view young athletes taking part in a number of sports activities, including wheelchair basketball, CP football, volleyball, fencing and badminton. The Duchess will then join athletes and their parents as they attend educational workshops about media and social media training, nutrition in sport and general guidance from Olympians and Paralympians including Katherine Grainger, Ade Adepitan and Karen Pickering.
The first time mom to two-and-a-half month old George has only made two official royal outings since giving birth on July 22. In a surprise visit, she appeared alongside her husband to start the Anglesey Ring O' Fire Marathon. The following week she and Prince William attended the inaugural Tusk Trust Awards - which was her first planned return to royal duty.
It's expected the Duchess of Cambridge will have a light diary the rest of the year.
