The sport-loving Kate was playing as part of the SportsAid charity, which helps and recognizes young British athletes. But when Kate showed off her form in skinny jeans just three months after giving birth to Prince George, everyone wondered how she's gotten back her pre-baby body so fast.
"It's a combination of two things," an insider told People magazine recently. "Kate has worked very, very hard and is just incredibly lucky that her figure snapped back to its pre-baby shape."
And about those skinny genes that look so fab in skinny jeans?
"The whole family is lean," declared pregnancy guru Zita West, who helped Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett regain their pre-baby bodies.
However, Kate has been using working out to benefit her body both during and after her pregnancy. She loves yoga, and "makes very good food choices," said Zita.
In addition, Kate is breastfeeding, which helps her lose weight. But Cosmopolitan recently offered more insights on precisely what those "very good food choices" involve: Low-carb, high protein Dukan diet.
The Dukan diet involves different phases, emphasizing protein throughout as well as gradually phasing in healthy choices like whole grains, fruits and vegetables. It began its popularity in the United Kingdom, where the entire Middleton family reportedly followed it before Kate's wedding, then spread to the United States with the publication of "The Dukan Diet: 2 Steps to Lose the Weight, 2 Steps to Keep It Off Forever" (click for details).
