The small British fishing and port town of Grimsby is busy preparing for a VIP guest next week. Kate Middleton will tour the Lincolnshire community making at least three planned stops on March 5. As the countdown to her visit continues, organizers are trying to make sure the pregnant Duchess' trip is nothing short of perfect, The Grimsby Telegraph reported Tuesday.
Ahead of Kate's visit, messages from the locals are being collected to put into a presentation to be shown to the Duchess when she arrives. Townspeople are being asked to send in details of "what you have got planned to welcome the future Queen to the area." The town is also reminiscing about past royal visits with a collection of photos and memories.
As Examiner.com previously reported, Kate Middleton will make the all-day trip to Grimsby solo. Prince William will be in Wales, where he's on duty as a search and rescue helicopter pilot with the RAF. During her tour, the Duchess of Cambridge will visit the National Fishing Heritage Center, tour the Humberside Fire and Rescue Service at Peaks Lane Fire Station, and make an appearance at Havelock Academy.
The outing will be only the third of the year for the pregnant Duchess. Kate's calendar was cleared following an early pregnancy condition that hospitalized her. She made her first public appearance of 2013 last week at London's Hope House. She was also on hand for the unveiling of the official Kate Middleton portrait at the National Portrait Gallery on Jan. 11.
No other engagement are currently confirmed, however it's believed Kate will announced at least two more patronages in March.
