Kate Middleton's nose is being credited with a recent spike in plastic surgeries by women looking to copy the Duchess' nose. Requests for the Kate Middleton nose have tripled since 2011, Daily Mail reported Wednesday. It doesn't hurt that plastic surgeons, themselves, call the highly-requested royal nose "perfect." "Her nose is straight with a cute, rounded tip and is perfectly in proportion to her face. This gives the Duchess an attractive and striking profile," plastic surgeon Maurizio Persico is quoted as saying. Another facial expert notes the minimal amount of Kate's nostrils that can be seen as an attractive feature.
According to reports more and more women are shelling out thousands of dollars for a rhinoplasty in an effort to mimic the young royal's perfect profile. Jessica Blaier is one of those women. She admitted on ABC's "Good Morning America" today (Thursday) she paid $12,000 to get a nose modeled after Kate's. “Every time she smiled I was like ‘Wow! I want my nose to be like that,’” the 21-year-old woman admitted.
Blaier touches on a point that several experts suggest is more subconscious and it has to do with Kate Middleton's smile as much as her nose. Persico believes the Duchess of Cambridge's seemingly always-happy outlook is attractive to women who may not be happy or are self-conscious about their own appearance. By fixing their nose to look more like hers, women may gain self confidence and be more comfortable and happy with their appearance.
