Kate Middleton's mom has been a big help to Kate and Prince William when it comes to royal baby George. Kate and William spent time with Carole and Michael Middleton in their Bucklebury country estate right after George was born. Now with William going back to the RAF, Kate has gone back to their Anglesey farm house this week with baby George and mom in tow, according to Eonline on Aug. 17.
Kate and William are very thankful for all of Carole's help and it is reported that Carole was “persuaded” to go to Anglesey with Kate and the baby while William is working. She's played a huge part in George's life so-far.
Carole is not the first mom to go and stay with her daughter after having their first baby, this is something that was traditionally done in the U.S. decades ago. While it is still not as prevalent today in the U.S., back in the 50s, 60s and even into the 70s, a new mom got a lot of help with their baby, mostly from their own moms.
Kate and William's remodeled Kensington apartment will be ready in mid-September and that will be their new home, but for now, Kate's back at home in Angelesy while her husband the Prince is working out of the RAF base nearby.
