It appears Kate Middleton's mom may have a lot of friends over here in capitalist America where any news is generally considered worth commercializing, even though she is under attack in her own country for this. In an article on Jan. 4, 2013, Alexis Tereszcuk has reported for Radar Online, Kate Middleton's Mom Blasted For Cashing In On Royal Baby! While Kate Middleton has been celebrating the joyous news that she is pregnant with the heir to the British Throne, her mother Carole Middleton has been under attack for profiting off of the news of her daughter's royal baby.
Ever since the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William announced they are expecting their first child in 2013, her parents' company, Party Pieces, started selling royal baby themed items that have raised the anger of many British citizens who are calling the business move "tacky, tasteless and vulgar." Michael Thornton, a reporter for the UK Newspaper the Daily Mail, has blasted Carole's "exploiting the impending birth" of Kate's baby. Thornton has written, "It is tacky, tasteless and vulgar — and from what I know of William and Kate, I would expect them to be highly embarrassed." Thornton was writing in reference to the miniature castles, plates for 'A New Little Princess' and 'A New Little Prince,' and other royal baby-themed products which Carole Middleton has been selling.
PerezHilton has also reported on this scandal in the United Kingdom, Kate Middleton’s Parents Cashing In On Baby News With Party Store? Kate Middleton’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, have been accused of using their daughter’s royal baby as a way to increase business for their mail-order party supply company, Party Pieces. Well, if the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are really upset about all of this it appears they could offer a good price to buy Party Pieces. Anyway, congratulations and best of luck to Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William. Their story has all of the ingredients of a great Hollywood movie!
