Kate Middleton and Prince William will soon hear the pitter-patter of little feet when Prince George becomes old enough to take his first steps. Unfortunately for Kate and William, they missed seeing baby George crawling for the first time while they were away on vacation in the Maldives this month, according to MSN Wonder Wall on March 26.

Was it a hired nanny to see the baby crawl for the first time? No, the little prince stayed with Kate’s parents while the couple went on their vacation. Kate and William just experienced what thousands of first time parents have experienced when it comes to a milestone of their baby, they missed it.

With both parents working in families today, so many milestones of first steps, the first time the baby crawls or even the little one’s first words happen at daycare, or with a babysitter. Baby George got to impress his maternal grandparents with his first attempt at crawling.

Can’t you just see Carole and Michael Middleton clapping their hands in excitement and making all kinds of happy noises when they witnessed their first grandchild crawl?

So Kate and William missed this one, at least Prince George was with folks who love him like his parents do. Now that George is eight-months-old, there's a lot of firsts around the corner. Sources say the little guy has cut his first tooth and his cheeks are chubbier than ever.

George will be heading out on his first trip with mom and dad in April when they tour Australia and New Zealand for three weeks. Little George’s nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who is the very first foreign nanny to look after a future British king, will join the family of three.
