Kate Middleton’s called “Babykins” by Prince William and he tells her how he was almost shot by blank rounds during a military exercise. This is not something anyone should know except Kate and William, but the world knows this today after it was read in court off transcripts of Kate’s hacked phone messages.
According to CNN on Dec. 19, this message and several others were used as evidence in court and read by the prosecutor. It was one of many private messages of famous folks that were allegedly intercepted by the now defunct tabloid, News of the World.
The date the message was made is not known, but it is believed that the time William left the message about almost getting shot by blanks for Kate, they were not married yet, just dating.
This message was one of several messages between Kate and William that were found in the possession of people affiliated with the News of the World. It was also one of several message that were read at London’s Old Baily Court during this legal case.
The messages were read at the trial of former News of the World editors Rebekah Brooks and Andy Coulson and the paper's former managing editor, Stuart Kuttner.
The three are accused of “conspiring to intercept communications in the course of their transmission,” between the dates of October 2000 and August 2006 without lawful authority. They deny the charges. Then there is Glenn Mulcaire, who has pleaded guilty to the hacking charges in this case.
Mulcaire, who was a private investigator for News International, News of the World’s parent company, had already plead guilty in 2006 to phone hacking charges.
Since surfacing as Prince William’s girlfriend Kate has paid her dues when it comes to being raked over the coals by the media. They have watched every move she made, catching her topless, capturing her looking alone and sad during the hiatus she and Prince William had while dating. The media even deemed Kate as “Waity Katey” when an engagement ring wasn’t on her hand after years of dating William. The media has treated her with so much disrespect in the past.
Today she seems to be one of the most respected public figures in the media and again, she’s earned this with everything she’s been through. Now she has to go through this embarrassment all over again. Kate and William's very personal messages are read in court and they've done nothing to deserve this.
