Kate Middleton’s family is under the microscope again and today it’s her brother James who gets a turn to have a bout of distasteful accusations thrown his way. According to The Inquistr on Friday, March 1, 2013, tabloids are now referring to James’ online confectionary company as his “porn cupcake” business.
If you glance through Kate’s little brother’s confectionary offerings, you will find nothing up for sale that resembles porn. He did have a line of cakes that had adult jokes on them, but as far as porn goes, that’s a long stretch. Check out James’ Nice Cakes website here for yourself. The “Naughty” section is adult humor mostly, but as far a porn goes, there’s nothing there that looks like sexual explicit images, that you'd expect to find with porn.
This is almost as ludicrous as referring to the stripper that’s a gazillion times removed from Kate’s family's bloodline as her “cousin.” Katrina Darling is not anywhere near a first cousin to Kate. According to the Daily Mail from last year, "Miss Darling is related to the Duchess of Cambridge through her grandmother who is the sister of the Princess's great-grandfather."
Kate did not know who Katrina was, surely Katrina knew who Kate was since she married into the royal family, but she had no idea Kate was any relation. This is a very distant relationship and neither of the two women even knew about each other sharing the same blood line until some tabloid published this bit of news. Still the media is intent on calling Katrina "Kate's cousin."
James Middleton’s Nice Group is in financial difficulty, as reports put him in debt for $20,000. In the business world this isn’t that much today. You’d think with the headlines this is prompting from around the world that James’ money problems would come to a much bigger figure than this.
Could you imagine the size of the publication if someone posted every business that is in debt $20,000 or more? It most likely couldn’t be done with the overwhelming amount of struggling businesses out there.
So why single out a small cake company online to report their financial troubles? Just like Kate’s parent’s online party goods website, anything having to do with the Middleton family seems to be held to much higher standards than the rest of the online businesses out there. Today's news that James' cake company is a "porn cupcake" business shouldn't be too surprising for those who have followed the media reporting on Kate and her family.
