Kate Middleton's due date confirmed; rumors of royal twins false (Video)

Kate Middleton's due date has been officially confirmed by the Palace, and it isn't exactly what most royal-watchers were expecting. Going by Kate's due date, the Duchess is still quite early in her first pregnancy. The announcement also laid to rest rumors the future Queen of England is carrying twins - she isn't.

Though we knew the Palace formally announced Kate Middleton was pregnant earlier than they typically would have (and with far less pomp and circumstance) due to the Duchess being admitted to the hospital for her morning sickness, but now it seems Kate was even earlier in her pregnancy than anyone thought.

Kate Middleton's Due Date: Royal Baby to Debut in July 2013

Kate's due date is July 2013, meaning the Duchess is only about three months pregnant right now. In December, when she was suffering with severe morning sickness, Kate was likely only about five weeks along. In most women, this is the first week they are even able to officially know they are pregnant, and the tell-tale symptoms being to rear their sometimes ugly heads. In the case of Kate Middleton, let's hope her sickness was fast and furious, but short-lived.

When Clarence House reported Kate's due date this week, they also confirmed she is feeling better and her "condition is improving". With Kate headed full-steam into her second trimester, we hope she can quickly put the ills of the first behind her and enjoy the rest of her pregnancy.

However, calls for the Royal Family to go public with the sex of the baby may be a little premature. The expected time-frame of the royal baby's arrival indicates the Duchess is only about 12-weeks-along; the sonogram to sex the baby usually comes a little later in the second trimester, typically around 18 weeks. Though it is possible to find out earlier, it is entirely possible that even Prince William and Kate Middleton don't know what they're having yet!
