Kate Middleton's bikini-clad baby bump photos published by Italian magazine Chi

The controversial first Kate baby bump photos have reportedly been published by the same Italian magazine that published the topless pictures of the Duchess. Several British media outlets are reporting today (Tuesday) that Italy's Chi Magazine has published photos of a pregnant bikini-clad Kate vacationing in Mustique.

There is some discrepancy about whether the photos of Kate Middleton's baby bump have already been published or if the magazine has purchased them, but not yet released the photos other than as a preview online. Either way, the Palace is furious over the invasion of privacy against the young royal couple while they're on a private vacation on a supposedly paparazzi-free island. "We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas," a St James's Palace spokeswoman tells Daily Mail.

A preview of the Kate Middleton Chi Magazine cover shows the Duchess of Cambridge in a blue bikini walking on a beach with a small, but obvious baby bump. In another cover photo, Prince William and Kate appear to be embracing as they walk along the beach.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will welcome the royal baby in July.
