Kate Middleton's baby shower: Pippa planning first ever royal baby shower

Kate Middleton's sister is said to be planning a baby shower fit for a little prince or princess. Pippa Middleton is reportedly heading up plans for what will be the first ever royal baby shower. According to a March 20 report by Now Magazine, Kate Middleton's baby shower will be held in early May at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury.

The shower will apparently be the first ever held for a member of the royal family.

Of course, Kate was a commoner before she married Prince William who is second in line to the throne. Their child will eventually be the king or queen of England. Despite, giving birth to a future British monarch, Kate Middleton seems to want to live as "normal" a life as possible -- and that would include having a baby shower.

Pippa Middleton is a no-brainer as the party host. The duchess' younger sister is the author of "Celebrate," a party planning book that hit the market in October 2012.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's baby is due in July.
