Kate Middleton and Prince William baptized Baby Prince George today and besides the ceremony and the gorgeous baby Prince, the energy and happiness coming from Kate is something worth noting. The video released on YouTube of the family all coming together today outside of the church shows Kate with a real bounce to her curtsy when she comes face to face with the Queen.
Even Us Magazine on Oct 23, commented on the big smiles and the tiny cry as Kate, William and George pull up to the church and get out of the car. Kate’s curtsy was seen once again when she went to greet her father-in-law Prince Charles.
Kate didn’t look the least bit nervous, she looked happy to see all her family members there. It was William who kept a constant soft jiggle of Prince George going as he held him in his arms. The baby looks equal parts Kate and equal parts William. You could even see a bit of the Queen in young George as he was seen in the camera often throughout this video.
After all the greetings, the couple was ready to go into the church and meet up with the four Godfathers and three Godmothers, who Kate and William picked for their son. The couple is really taking the monarch into modern times by not having the Godparents plucked from the royal family. Instead these are the folks that are close to the couple and people who are in their lives on a regular basis.
The Godparents are long-time friends of the couple and one man, who William and Kate picked as a Godfather, was a close friend of his mothers. The Christening at St. James Palace was done with both royal tradition with some modern ideas thrown in. This is just one more indication of how William and Kate will work to knock down the old barriers that once made the royals untouchable!
