Part of the renovations at Prince William and Kate Middleton's rumored new country home will reportedly include moving the swimming pool. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have plans to relocate the pool at Anmer Hall to a spot that is more discrete and out of sight of photographers, according to Sunday's Daily Mail.

Several reports suggest the decision to move the pool is related to Kate Middleton's topless photo scandal last year. In September 2012, a photographer snapped pictures of the Duchess while she was sunbathing topless. The couple was vacationing at a private French chateau and the photographer was reportedly staged half a mile away with a long lens. The photos were published by the French magazine, Closer, along with several other European media outlets. The topless pictures of Kate were said to deeply embarrass her and anger Prince William.
Plans have also been submitted for other "major work" at Anmer Hall including re-directing the driveway, building a garden room, and adding additional bedrooms. A source says the country home in Norfolk will not be an "occasional home" for the royals, but instead the Cambridges plan to use it often.

Queen Elizabeth is expected to gift the prized home on her Sandringham Estate to the royal couple. As Examiner.com previously reported, however, the couple may not be able to enjoy it until 2017, as it's currently leased until March of that year.
