Kate Middleton and Prince William are already trying for a second royal baby, according to a new report. The cover of this week's issue of Life & Style, released today (Wednesday) claims the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are hoping to "stun" their families with a holiday-time announcement. "They're even eyeing being pregnant by Christmas," the tabloid claims.
A source quoted in the report says the royal couple will be spending time with both of their families during the holidays and would love the break the news then. "William and Kate will be splitting their time during the holidays with Kate's family and the queen in Sandringham House in Norfolk, so it would be the perfect moment for an announcement," an unnamed source is quoted as saying. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly planned to tell their families they were expecting Prince George last Christmas, but Kate's unexpected hospitalization for morning sickness forced the royal baby news public weeks earlier than expected.
Life and Style calls the timing for a second royal baby "perfect." Perhaps the tabloid is referring to the fact that the Cambridges will soon have extra room as they move into their official royal residence at Kensington Palace. In addition, Prince William has retired from the military, but not yet taken on full royal duties. The upcoming year has been called a transitional one for the duke which gives him some flexibility and more time to spend with his (growing) family.
Prince George will be two months old on September 22.
