Kate Middleton pregnant: Spray-tan artist got early clue

Kate Middleton’s favorite spray-tan beautician got a heads-up notice that the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant as far back as October. Duchess Catherine cancelled her standing appointments – a whole string of them. According to the Daily Mail on Sunday, Jan. 20, Kate Middleton had a regular arrangement for a beautician skilled in spray-tan application to visit her at Kensington Palace for treatments. She asks for a very light coat, but “Kate usually likes just enough to give herself a little glow before a public appearance,” reports a source.

But the skin dye applications are not recommended for pregnant women in the first few months, and so the duchess had to give up the habit that made her look so healthy and vibrant in photographs. Not only was that probably depressing to the ever-perfect Kate Middleton, but it served up an unmistakable clue to the salon involved. Obviously the beautician did not rush down to sell her story to the tabloids – that would be so rude – but it’s possible she headed to the nearest betting parlor, to get good odds on a due date guess.

The first official notification of the Kate Middleton pregnancy came when the Duchess of Cambridge was forced to spend a few nights in the hospital, due to a severe bout of hyperemesis gravidarum, and those in charge of royal news came out with the truth. But there are always hints, and it’s those who serve, who are in the best position to know.
