Kate Middleton pregnant? Miscarriage cited, alcohol sampling may quench rumors

While having Kate Middleton pregnant may remain a definite possibility for public speculation, new rumors surrounding the Duchess of Cambridge suffering a miscarriage have arisen this week. Sources from GLOBE Magazine are alleging that Kate experienced the “upsetting ordeal” recently this month, and is relying on the support of her husband and other members of the royal family to get her through the difficult time. The Epoch News reports the details regarding the ongoing baby news this Thursday, July 31, 2014.

Despite the royal palace staying quiet on the recurring Kate Middleton pregnancy rumors, people’s beliefs that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a second child — a girl, no less, with some thinking the baby’s name will be Diana — have lingered on. Just a few weeks ago, Kate was clearly seen at an alcohol sampling with her husband, Prince William (which might quench any pregnancy talk), yet insiders are now saying that a miscarriage is the real reason behind the silence.

As revealed by GLOBE Magazine in their new August issue, the Duchess of Cambridge was being particularly “careful” yet still sadly lost the baby, putting a hold on her desire to have a bigger family and eventually share three children with Prince William down the line. Celeb Dirty Laundry also airs the gossip with an updated post:

“Kate suffered a miscarriage in spite of being extra careful. She and William have reportedly been sticking together and supporting each other through this upsetting ordeal all while putting on a brave public face while celebrating George’s first birthday. The couple has let it be known that they are hoping for three kids in about five years time and Kate has decided not to let this ordeal prevent her from trying again to expand their family.”

It is of course possible that there is truth to the Kate Middleton pregnant allegations and claims of miscarriage, but a glaring flaw in their “sources” should be noted. Many of these sites are quoting Kate Middleton’s female friend from childhood, Jessica Hay, as the primary source behind these statements. Yet Kensington Palace has denied assertions that Duchess Kate is still in touch with Hay, noting that the two women haven’t been close for “many years.”

There's more evidence stacked against Kate having a bun in the oven, shares Christian Today, prior to the disclosure of a potential miscarriage. The expectation of a second baby girl (or the loss of one) is being further refuted this week by Kate recently being spotted enjoying a relaxing day out with her husband at an alcohol sampling. If the royal Duchess was being careful (as she certainly would be if pregnant, given the precautions she took regarding her first baby boy, Prince George), then she wouldn’t be having any liquor-based drinks.

The celebrity press release adds via another media outlet that the claims may be quenched from a lack of relationship with Hay:

“Australia’s New Day reports that the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second child, based on information that has come from Kate’s former friend Jessica Hay. But, ET Canada has learned from Kensington Palace that the Duchess has not spoken to Jessica Hay for very many years.”

For their part, both Kate Middleton and the Royal Family have not disclosed any personal information about whether Prince William’s iconic wife is expecting a second child, and nothing has been confirmed. Yet even with no verified statements given, it seems that the public at large will continue to look to Duchess Kate as a celebrity figurehead who could reveal exciting news of a new baby girl or boy any day now.
