Kate Middleton pregnant: Duchess focuses on fitness

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, knows the best way to ensure a healthy baby is to take care of her own health. Fitness is number one on her own current schedule, says a Thursday, Jan. 17 report from Entertainmentwise. Like so many people who resolved to get healthy in 2013, Duchess Catherine is doing frequent Pilates sessions. It’s not that she’s out of shape, but a baby, as is often said, changes everything.

Pilates is more fun shared with others, but no group classes are mentioned. The odds are Kate Middleton has someone come in to help her through the movements. Of course, there are videos, for between times or for privacy, if that’s what she prefers. “She's been doing it three times a week,” revealed a source, “because she feels it's the best type of exercise for her - unlike yoga, she can focus on specific areas of her body.”

Then there is Lupo, the royal dog. Kate Middleton enjoys walking her spaniel on the grounds of Kensington Palace and around her parents’ property. Probably walking Lupo through her seaside neighborhood in Wales would be best of all. Lupo keeps the duchess company when Prince William is away at his job, in addition to keeping her fit.

Sleep is important during pregnancy, so Kate Middleton tries for eight or more hours of sleep every night – not easy when a changing body works to keep her awake. Kate Middleton opts for soothing music, and she especially enjoys listening to Adele. No doubt Adele, who recently had a baby boy of her own, is happy to hear it.
