Kate Middleton is using hypnotherapy to regain her appetite during pregnancy, if you believe a longtime friend of the Duchess. In a new interview released today (Monday) the Duchess of Cambridge's former roommate claims she's turned to hypnosis to help recover from her battle with severe morning sickness.

The old friend and always-media friendly, Jessica Hay, tells New Idea magazine Kate Middleton is still having trouble eating and gets full quickly. “[She] still looks at food and feels nauseous...that feeling you have when you’ve had food poisoning and your stomach’s shrunk," Hay explains. In an effort to regain her appetite, the source claims Kate has turned to the rather unusual treatment. "The hypnotherapy is taking away any negative thoughts connected with food from the morning sickness and replacing them with cravings for healthy, nutritious food.”

Kate Middleton suffered acute morning sickness early in her pregnancy. The pregnancy condition hospitalized the Duchess in December forcing the royal couple to pre-maturely announce their baby news. It's believed Kate was only around seven weeks pregnant at the time. The Duchess is now thought to be about 14 weeks along. During her most recent public outing, on Jan., 11, however, there was still no sign of a royal baby bump.
