There are two stories hitting the news today about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. One is fact and the other is fiction. The romantic getaway is true; the pregnancy -- as reported here last week -- is still false. We learned on Mar. 6, 2014 from ABC News that “Prince William and Kate Reportedly Jet Off for Romantic Break.” And from the Express.co.uk, also on Mar. 6, 2014, it's reported that they are flying to Maldives for a second honeymoon.
In the world of inaccurate news, the International Business Times, UK, on Mar. 6, 2014 picked up the story in OK! magazine and noted, “Kate Middleton Pregnant? Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William 'Expecting 'Twins'.”
Inaccurate pregnancy gossip
The rumors from OK! Magazine are suspect according to Gawker reports. They note that the magazine has only a 7% cover accuracy rating and only 14% overall as reported in “Which Tabloids Lie the Most?”
Gossip Cop pointed out in December when the story first broke, "Kate Middleton Is NOT “Pregnant Again.” And they received confirmation from a royal spokesman. Here is the full story in “Kate Middleton news: The truth about her pregnancy gossip.”
As a warm up to their trip, without Prince George, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in a partying mood. They know how to keep love alive by taking romantic holidays and enjoying date nights. The Huffington Post on Mar. 5, 2014 said, “Kate Middleton's Date-Night Outfit Has Us Drooling.”
