Kate Middleton double take: Fuel for the fire for Kate to get her own designer?

Kate Middleton and unnamed woman show up at a wedding dressed alike in same blue tweed topper.

Kate Middleton wasn’t as unique as she usually is in a crowd when attending the wedding of her close friend over the weekend. An unknown woman also attending the wedding wore exactly the same thing that Kate wore, a blue tweed M Missoni-style topper from the Fall/Winter collection of 2010, according to MSN Wonderwall on April 2.

Kate and William attended the wedding of close friends Lucy Meade and Charlie Budgett in Chippenham, England. Kate’s blue topper is something she’s been seen in before, on two other occasions.

The woman’s name has yet to be revealed who wore the same topper as Kate, but this incident might give more fuel to the Palace fires for Kate to change the origin of her wardrobe. Will the royals ask Kate to follow in the footsteps of the Queen and acquire her attire through a seamstress and designer with clothes made just for her?

Kate has become one of the most popular royals to ever come down the royal line because of her tendency to be more like regular folks. Shopping in the stores that the average person shops in is something that people find endearing and they relate to Kate on this level.

For the future Queen to wear the same clothes as someone else at an event, like what happened at the wedding, this can prove to be a royal embarrassment. Will this prompt Kate to take the high road of getting her wardrobe from a venue that will cater to her with a one of a kind design?

Most who have come to follow Kate’s life since she’s become a royal would say she is not about to trade her tendency for off-the-rack shopping for a personal designer. This one moment of “oops” won’t detour Kate’s shopping habits for sure. What do you think? Will Kate opt for original designs in the future?
