Kate Middleton turns 31 on Wednesday, and no big birthday bash is planned. The Duchess of Cambridge is keeping close to her home and resting up from the rigors of early pregnancy, reports Radar Online on Wednesday, Jan. 9. St James's Palace put out a statement that Kate Middleton and Prince William – referring to them, of course, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – would celebrate “privately.” Sources say they are in Wales, at their quiet farmhouse. Maybe they will have a movie date, just the two of them. Or just watch television.
Everyone knows people with birthdays early in the year can get over-celebrated, and certainly celebs deserve a chance for a quiet, cozy and camera-free day. But Kate Middleton’s birthday is an occasion to be marked, and the tabloids are trying. Expect to see more of the designs Duchess Catherine enjoys, only adapted to a thickening waist.
