Kate Middleton bares baby bump in skimpy bikini

Kate Middleton and Prince William are basking in the Caribbean sun. Kate showed off a growing baby bump by wearing her favorite bikini, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge strolled on the secluded beach. And apparently photographers plied their telephoto lenses, reports the Mirror on Saturday, Feb. 9.

“This is unfortunate,” said a palace aide. “They get absolutely no privacy whatsoever.” Well, that goes with the territory for the royal couple, but the island of Mustique, where private villas go for more than $25,000 a week, is one of the most secure places on earth. So how did this newest privacy breach happen? Baby bump? Royal bikini? Hot stuff, for a traveling paparazzo.

The pictures have not surfaced yet, but all the British tabloids – who have sworn not to print them – seem certain photographs of Kate Middleton in a bikini, with baby bump protruding – do exist. What is not known is whether the photographer was on the private island, or whether the shots came across the water from a boat. Surely, a look at the pictures will make that obvious. And other tabloids are probably already bidding for the rights.

But reports of more “agony” on the part of Duchess Catherine seem overblown. Surely she is more or less comfortable now, with the idea that no place is safe. Besides, it is perfectly acceptable these days, to show off that baby bump in a bikini. Kate Middleton and Prince William know a big part of their lives belongs to the world. They cope.
