Duchess of Cambridge Shows Off Baby Bump in New Photo
Up until now, we may know Kate Middleton is pregnant, but we haven't really seen it yet. The Duchess of Cambridge, 30, was hospitalized late last year with severe morning sickness, likely contributing to how slender she looked in early January. In the photo above (snapped on Jan. 11 of this year), Kate is a couple of months pregnant but sure didn't look it. The belt at the waist of Kate's dress only emphasized her tiny frame.
Oh, the difference a month can make! In one of the brand new Kate Middleton baby bump photos seen here, the Duchess is covered up for a cold London afternoon, but we can still detect some roundness in her midsection. The flowing tartan-print Zara cape and black scarf Kate wore did nothing to take away from her maternity style; in fact, quite the opposite. If anything, the cape only enhanced the mommy-to-be vibe.
Speaking of morning sickness, the UK Daily Mail reported on Saturday that Kate is using blackcurrant-scented candles to keep her morning sickness at bay. According to the report, "Kate is said to have filled her Kensington Palace home with the Contentment candle, made with the oils of the rare South African buchu plant." The plant and candles reportedly smell of blackcurrant.
Though Kate is still very slim, we're glad to finally see her filling out a little bit. We're also glad to see her walking around getting some fresh air, because that means she's not stuck hunched over a porcelain throne somewhere. Those must be some amazing candles!
