Kate Middleton and Prince William's baby has grandfather Charles feeling old

Kate Middleton and Prince William's upcoming blessed event is making Prince Charles feel a bit old these days. Despite feeling older, having a grandchild is one of the most thrilling events for the first in line to the throne, according to Yahoo OMG on March 11, 2012.

Prince Charles has had a few months to wrap his head around Kate and William bringing a royal child into this world, but it is still hard not to feel older which is what the word “grandfather” conjures up. Charles was asked during an interview if becoming a grandfather makes him feel old? Charles answered, "Of course it does, because you can't believe, to a certain extent, that it's going to happen in your life."

Whether Charles is feeling older or not these days, he still took the opportunity to talk about the relationship he is looking forward to having with his first grandchild. The prince, who is very dedicated to environmental causes, seems to be even more so today now that his royal grandchild will be in the picture come this July.

He talked about handing the world on to “our successors, particularly our grandchildren.” While keeping the environment healthy has always been near and dear to the future king's heart, with Kate and William's baby on the way, he has a new generation in mind when wanting to preserve the things in nature that often meet with their demise due to the creations of modern living.
