Choosing the right name for their child is something every parent does. Sometimes it is painstakingly hard to choose the right one that both parents agree upon. With the case of Kate Middleton and Prince William it may go a little further than just their liking. They also have to consider the realm and how that name will be properly fitting. In a recent report by Mercury News on March 13 it is revealed that the royal couple has made a final decision on a name should the child be born female.
Kate Middleton and Prince William after much ado have chosen the name, Elizabeth Diana Carole if their baby is a daughter. They came to this decision by incorporating the people they love and hold dear to them as each part of the baby’s name was selected.
Elizabeth was chosen to honor not just the baby’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth but also Kate herself as Elizabeth is her middle name. Then comes the name Diana which everyone knows represents the late Princess Diana, mother of Prince William and Prince Henry. And lastly, Carole was chosen to make her name complete to honor Kate Middleton’s mother, whereas Carole was her maiden name.
“It has indeed been reported that the child will be female. Kate made headlines recently when she appeared to inadvertently refer to her upcoming "dau..." at a public outing. She quickly insisted she had made no such reference.”
One wonders if the royal couple is still deciding on a name if the child is male. But after Kate’s oops in public there may not be a need to think up another name for their child if indeed it is true and they are having a beautiful baby girl.
