Kate Middleton’s previous family vacations on the Island of Mustique produced many bikini clad pictures of the single girl who would go on to be a Princess. The shapely Kate looked like most any other girl her age enjoying a day in the sun on the deck of a boat. The problem today is that Kate is not like any other girl her age and this massive lockdown on the Island is to guard against the future Queen getting caught in any pictures, especially in a bathing suit, according the IB Times.
The royals don’t think that the public seeing Kate in a bikini is proper for her new status in life. Due to this, the island is basically on lockdown, which has drastically changed the way people are accustomed to roaming around this paradise. According to ABC News, the golf carts that are the main mode of transportation on Mustique are not moving, they are off limits on the Island while Kate is there.
Two of the most popular hotel restaurants on the island will only allow people in as quests who get their on the designated hotel shuttle buses. This exclusive vacation spot caters to the rich and famous and now the high class vacationers aren’t getting the treatment they’ve paid for, these are the complaints being heard today. The security staff is stopping and questioning people on the beach, which isn’t going over well with the other quests who’ve paid big bucks for their vacation as well and who want their own privacy respected.
With Prince William joining Kate on the Island in a few days, the security is expected to get even tighter on Mustique.
