Kate Hudson flaunts 70-lb pregnancy weight loss at London fashion gala

Actress Kate Hudson showcased her sleek, gym-toned physique at the 2013 Elle Style Awards in London on Feb. 11. Hudson donned a strapless orange Stella McCartney gown that accentuated her slender figure.

Amazingly, the lithe 5-foot-6 Kate gained almost 70 pounds during her recent second pregnancy and tipped the scales at 184 pounds. Hudson, 33, shed the weight by working out six hours a day shortly after giving birth to son Benjamin in July 2011.

"I devoted six hours a day to a vigorous workout regime," Kate told Star. "I would do 45 or 55 minutes of cardio, then an hour of Pilates or yoga, three times a day."

Hudson, who also gained 70 pounds during her first pregnancy in 2004, embarked on the rigorous exercise regimen because she struggled to lose the baby weight after her first son, Ryder, was born.

"I’m not a dieter," said Kate, whose mom is actress Goldie Hawn, 67. "I’m in the wrong family to be a dieter. My mom is always making chicken and dumplings. And I love scones, with clotted cream and jam. I can’t not eat them!"
