Kate Gosselin, 37, mother of eight children, including sextuplets and twins, tweeted to her 128,00-plus followers on Tuesday night that her new bedtime story of choice is her very own authored book "Multiple Blessings".
The memoir was published in 2008 and chronicles the first two years of raising her eight children with ex-husband Jon Gosselin.
Publishers Weekly's editorial review said of "Multiple Blessings":
Kate admits, "I was a bit of a control freak," yet also quickly draws on and receives the "peace of God... like a security blanket" through her months in the hospital, Jon's job loss and the impending arrivals. Details such as how they chose names; the sextuplets' birth day of May 10, 2004; and the babies' weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit are fascinating, as are stories of running a household that was perpetually full of volunteers, looked like "baby base camp" and required carefully sequenced nightly bath time.
Kate, who has recently taken on a new weekly blogging job at The Stir, tweeted to readers earlier this week:
For the 2nd night in a row, I've read a few chapters of my 1st book, 'Multiple Blessings' to Mady and Cara before bed! We r all enjoying it!
Kate went on to explain that her informal author reading was a bonding experience:
great memory convos have come out of it. I'm crying through & laughing thru so much! C/M r 'getting it'=r bond is increasing!
Kate also said that two of her sextuplet daughters, now 8-years-old, are now reading "I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith, and Family", which is Kate's most recent book, released in 2010. She says that the 12-year-old twins, Cara and Mady, have already read that book themselves but this time, she's reading her first book to them herself.
