Kate Gosselin, reality television star and the mother of eight, is suing her ex-husband, according to a Aug. 26 report by Miami Herald. She is accusing Jon Gosselin of hacking into her phone and stealing her hard drive in order to get juicy material for the 2012 book, "Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World," penned by his friend, business partner and tabloid writer, Robert Hoffman.
"Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World" was available on Amazon, but was pulled just two days later because the material was obtained illegally, according to the lawsuit. The lawsuit also accuses Gosselin's ex-husband of identity theft, wiretapping and invasion of privacy. The reality star is seeking unspecified damages and her lawyer, A. Jordan Rushie says,
"Jon violated a federal anti-hacking statute in order to publish salacious, scandalous and defamatory information about Kate. It's damaged her reputation."
In addition to Jon Gosselin being sued, Hoffman is also named as a defendant.
What do you think of the reality star suing her ex-husband and the author of "Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World?" Do you think she has a case or is she just upset about the book coming out?
