Kate Gosselin’s twin daughters were obviously uncomfortable last week on the Today show. Both Mady and Cara were on the couch in front of millions of people, but Mady and Cara both didn't say much. The silence left the morning show host Savannah Guthrie to deal with moving the show along. Safe to say the awkward moment was rough for all parties present, but somehow Guthrie felt empathetic towards the kids. According to the Christian Post on Friday, it was an uncomfortable segment on the Today show and viewers are still talking about the kids going silent on live TV.

“I was kind of empathetic to them, because it isn't easy to get up on national television,” said Savannah Guthrie on Watch What Happens Live during Thursday night’s broadcast. “I thought the girls had something on their minds and they wanted to get if off their chest, so I was really surprised when they didn't say too much.”

The twins definitely talked more when they were on The View while in New York City. It was obvious that even on live TV during the interview was uncomfortable when conversations were brought up about their father. Apparently that subject was off-limits as the kids just stopped talking.

Hopefully Kate Gosselin and her kids won’t be invited back to the Today show for a while. The reality show family showcased the ongoing issues between the parental units, but didn't offer a reason for them to really be there. With no new books, movies or even speaking tour, and as the twins showed a lack of reason to talk, it would be best if the family just stayed home.
