Kate Gosselin has been speaking out on her family’s behalf for a long time, but it sounds like she is finally letting her children speak. Of course, her ex-husband Jon Gosselin is currently sharing his life and struggles on “Couples Therapy,” but it sounds like she doesn’t want her family to get a negative image. This week, she allowed her two oldest daughters to speak out about their lives after reality television. According to a new PEOPLE report published on Jan. 8, Kate Gosselin’s children are now speaking out about living with their mother.
The children were a big part of the show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and “Kate Plus 8,” but after the shows ended, the children have been returning to a normal life with school and routines. The twins, Mady and Cara, 13, are speaking out for the first time about their family, since many people assume that they are completely damaged from being on a reality television show.
"People expect us to be damaged," Cara says, as Mady joins in: "People think we're supposed to be messed up, like, 'Oooooh, the poor Gosselin kids, they're going to be scarred for life, waaaaah.' Here's the big news: we're not messed up." But like any other parent, Kate does get labeled "annoying" and one can imagine it is because she wants order in the home. And who wouldn't with 8 children?
Kate has revealed that she has saved all the money from the reality phase of her life to support her children through college and the future. It sounds like things may be quite alright in the Gosselin home. What do you think of her children speaking out?
