Reality star Kate Gosselin, who looked skinner than ever at the 2010 Emmy Awards, was thrilled to have participated in the opening number.

In a new blog post Sept. 6, Gosselin says dancing live with host Jimmy Fallon and the cast of Glee before a televised audience of millions gave her the adrenaline rush of a lifetime.

'I GOT A HUGE RUSH'

I loved every movement of it, and the adrenaline rush I experienced afterward was at an all time high! To know that we had all worked together and pulled off our dance was extremely rewarding!

I feel like if I can do that, I can do anything ... So bring it on!!!!!!!

While competing on Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars helped Kate, 35, prepare a bit for the nerve-wracking live performance, the mother of eight says she was scared to death before going on. She recalled:

When I arrived, I have to admit that I was petrified and felt like it was DWTS all over again. Kinda like I was arriving at the first day of camp ... however, my nerves were quickly erased by all of the enthusiasm and excitement in the air!

The dancing part scared the daylights out of me, but with the help of the amazing Robin Antin (choreographer for The Pussycat Dolls) I managed to learn the routine and even enjoy it! (I owe you my life, Robin!)

As we took our spots on stage, ready to come out, the old familiar DWTS nerves attacked. And as I stood there staring down at my name, my stage marker, I thought to myself, “Nope, I'm going to give this my all and have fun!” and then I heard my cue, Jimmy Fallon saying “1-2-3-4” and out we all ran to dance our hearts out (yes, I did just say that I ran out to dance my heart out!).

'I FELT LIKE I WAS BACK ON DWTS'

While Kate was eliminated in Week 7 of DWTS, the reality dance competition helped her kick her fitness regimen into high gear. After she was cut, Gosselin began running 5 miles a day and lost almost 10 pounds, getting skinnier than ever.

Gosselin says running helps her both physically and emotionally.

"I run to get away," she said. "My mind wanders and I don't know where I am or where it is but I get lost in a 'zone.' I enjoy the pain and accomplishment of running five miles up and down hills each day."

The recently divorced mom of eight stars on two hit reality shows on TLC: Kate Plus Eight and Twist of Kate. In July, Gosselin and her children went camping with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin in Anchorage.

The camping trip will be featured in an upcoming episode of Palin's new TLC reality show, Sarah Palin's Alaska, which will air Nov. 14, 2010.
